Fans Can Experience Closing Ceremony Celebration After Final Out of 2013 Men’s CWS
After the traditional infield “dog pile,” the Finals of the 2013 NCAA® Men’s College World Series® will conclude tonight or Wednesday with a Closing Ceremony and fireworks honoring the student-athletes, coaches and fans.

NCAA®, College World Series, Inc.® and the City of Omaha Parks and Recreation Department have joined forces again this year to present the Road to Omaha® Run Presented by Northwestern Mutual, on Sunday, June 23. Northwestern Mutual, an official corporate partner of the NCAA, announced that it has signed on as presenting sponsor for the third running of the annual 5K, during which more than 500 runners will raise funds to benefit Omaha Parks Foundation and Starlight Children’s Foundation™.

Nearly 3,000 Fans Make Appearance on 10th Street
About 3,000 fans are a part of the 2013 Men’s NCAA® College World Series® in a big way, whether they are at the games or not, through a virtual ‘wave’ appearing on CenturyLink Center Omaha nightly through the conclusion of the Series.
Dennis Poppe Plaza Unveiled Prior to Opening Game
College World Series of Omaha, Inc., in partnership with the NCAA, MECA and the City of Omaha, is officially renaming the southwest plaza of TD Ameritrade Park Omaha in honor of Dennis Poppe, NCAA vice president of championships and alliances. Poppe is retiring from the NCAA on Jan. 1, 2014. The announcement of the Plaza renaming was made by Jack Diesing, Jr., president of CWS of Omaha, Inc., prior to the first game of the Series on Saturday.

B-Cycle Bike Sharing Project to Debut at 2013 College World Series®
Activate Omaha and Omaha Bikes will be working with Omaha B-Cycle on a demonstration bike sharing project during the 2013 NCAA® Men’s College World Series.® The program will feature two bike-sharing stations with 20 B-cycles available. The bike stations will be operating at the Bike Corral at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha and the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce courtyard at 13th and Howard Streets.
Spotlight Shines on The Road to Omaha Sculpture
Fans attending this year’s NCAA® Men’s College World Series® may notice something different about The Road to Omaha sculpture at the Gate 1 entrance to TD Ameritrade Park Omaha. Lighting fixtures and glass panels attached to the sculpture’s concrete backsplash, as well as a new spotlight, provide a new aesthetic to the iconic symbol of the Men’s College World Series.
Demand for General Admission Tickets Grows
With the field of qualifying teams set for the 2013 NCAA® Men’s College World Series®, the sale of general admission (GA) tickets is expected to increase, according to Herb Hames, ticket chairman of College World Series of Omaha, Inc. (CWS, Inc.).
