| College World Series of Omaha, Inc. Announces Selection of Eight Ambassadors |

(OMAHA,
Neb. March14, 2005) – Eight College World Series Ambassadors have been
selected from a field of 16 finalists during judging that concluded
March 9. College World Series of Omaha Inc. received a total of 48
applications. The Ambassadors will work during the College World Series
with local CWS of Omaha officials, service organizations that host the
participating teams, and the NCAA. The students also are available for
interviews with area news media to raise awareness of the event. This year’s
Ambassadors are Suzy Bass, a senior from Creighton University; Brianne
Behrends, a sophomore from University of Nebraska at Lincoln; Nick
Langel, a sophomore from Creighton University; Elizabeth Latenser,a
junior from Creighton University; Audra Liebig, a sophomore from Chadron
State University; Joshua Point, a senior from the University of Nebraska
at Omaha; Matthew Reilly, a junior from Creighton University; Ashley
Weede, a junior from Wayne State College. One
of the eight students selected to be an Ambassador will be awarded a
$2,000 scholarship from Mutual of Omaha, which is this year’s sponsor
of the Ambassador program. The scholarship
will be awarded based on participation in CWS
activities, recommendations by the service clubs, enthusiasm, work
ethic, promptness at activities, evaluation by the event management and
other criteria relating to the volunteer efforts of each
participant including, but not limited to, working with the news media
and attending team functions. All Ambassadors
receive reserved seating for the games and participate in a variety of
functions and assignments coordinated by local service clubs and College
World Series of Omaha, Inc. College World Series of Omaha, Inc. is a non-profit organization and the local organizing committee for the annual NCAA Division I Championship Baseball College World Series. This year’s event gets underway with Opening Ceremonies on June 16 and concludes June 26 or 27 with the final Championship game. For more information, visit the CWS of Omaha Inc.
