(Omaha, Nebraska)- Once again the College World Series has generated an overwhelming amount of news publicity for the City of Omaha. Since June 1, 2007 through the final game ending on Sunday, June 24th, Omaha received an estimated viewing audience of nearly 445,000,000 viewers. Local and network media generated an estimated audience of 293,677,979 viewers. ESPN and ESPN2 coverage carried an estimated audience of 150,494,678. Had the championship games gone one additional day the estimated viewing audience would have grown by another 14,379,495 viewers to approximately 458,552,152. With the Oregon State Beavers sweeping the finals in two games no final game on Monday was needed. |
