NCAA® 2007 Men's College World Series - Omaha, Nebraska

OMAHA---The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), NCAA Division I Baseball Committee and the Baseball Academic Enhancement Working Group, will hold a “State of Baseball” Press Conference in conjunction with the 2007 Men’s College World Series.

The press conference will take place at Thursday, June 14, at 1 p.m. (central time) in the Hall of Fame Room at Rosenblatt Stadium.

The panel will include members from the NCAA: Larry Templeton, Director of Athletics at Mississippi State University, chair of the Division I Baseball Committee; Dennis Poppe, Managing Director of Football and Baseball; Kevin Lennon, Vice President for Membership Services; Todd Petr, Managing Director of Research. Representing the ABCA will be Dave Keilitz, Executive Director.

The press conference topics will include MCWS stadium discussions, college baseball academic reform, MCWS ticket scalping/ticket initiatives, 2008 MCWS format and other issues dealing with the sport.
