Most Outstanding Player Award
Beginning in the fifth inning of the championship game, ballots are distributed to attending media representatives for selection of the Most Outstanding Player. Balloting is closed by the eighth inning. The MOP, as well as the all-tournament team, is announced following the awarding of trophies to the runner-up and championship teams.

This honor recognized Mr. Diesing, Sr.’s nearly four decades of leadership of College World Series of Omaha, Inc. Players earning the award receive a miniature replica of “The Road to Omaha” sculpture at Rosenblatt Stadium.
