NCAA® Men's College World Series - Omaha, Nebraska

Country music singers Julianne Hough and Bucky Covington III will share the stage at the 2010 College World Series Road to Omaha® Jam on June 18 starting at 6 p.m. Central time. The free family-oriented concert in the southeast parking area of Rosenblatt Stadium will be part of a full day of activities that include the Opening Ceremonies inside the stadium starting immediately following the concert.

In addition to her recording career, Hough is a two-time winner of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and was described on ABC’s 20/20 as one of the best dancers “on the planet.” In addition to her self-titled album that debuted No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart, the Mercury Nashville Records artist released a holiday album that has sold more than 157,000 copies.

Covington’s self-titled album also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and produced three hit singles on the Hot Country Songs charts: A Different World, It’s Good to Be Us and I’ll Walk. Covington was a finalist on the fifth season of FOX network’s American Idol talent competition series.

The Road to Omaha Jam is one of several exciting events planned to kick off the last College World Series in Rosenblatt Stadium during the day-long Opening Celebration on Friday, June 18. Other activities during the day include: open team practices; team autograph sessions; the grand opening of the Fan Fest area; skills clinics for kids; and an opportunity to record your favorite Rosenblatt memories for possible use on the video board. After the concert, fans are encouraged to move inside of Rosenblatt Stadium for the formal Opening Ceremonies which include: the introduction of the eight participating teams, NCAA awards, performances by the U.S. Air Force Heartland of Americas Band, the introduction of the CWS Legends Team and a fireworks finale.
