College World Series of Omaha, Inc., Announces Two 2013 Internship Opportunities
College World Series of Omaha, Inc., is currently seeking internship applications for the Summer Event Management Internship and Event Internship for the 2013 NCAA Men’s College World Series. The College World Series of Omaha, Inc., accepts applicants needing a full semester internship to complete their studies in their major, those who either have recently graduated or those simply looking for an internship. We will consider students who are taking classes during the spring semester, provided that they can work enough hours to complete all the tasks that are assigned. If credit is requested, this internship should be an officially recognized internship through the student’s college or university and if necessary, an evaluation process can be provided to the applicant’s advisor or institution.


CWS, Inc., the local organizing committee of the NCAA Men’s College World Series, is a non-profit organization formed in 1967. The mission of its all-volunteer Board of Directors is to enlist community support for the College World Series from business, government, civic organizations and individuals. The dates for the 2013 College World Series are June 15-25/26, 2013, with the Opening Celebration Day being held on June 14.


Summer Event Management Internship (1 position):

Application Period: Open – February 4, 2013 | Deadline – March 1, 2013

College World Series of Omaha, Inc., will offer one summer internship for the 2013 Men’s College World Series beginning in May (or at the conclusion of the student’s academic year), running through an agreed upon time in July. This selected applicant will assist with pre-event coordination, work on-site at the event and assist with event follow-up and reports. Projects may include ordering products and services, preparing surveys for the participating coaches, coordinating the shipment of the Most Outstanding Player award, preparing materials for the annual Division I Baseball Committee meeting, general office duties, and assisting the College World Series of Omaha, Inc. staff both in the office and on-site during the event. Other on-site assignments include working with the NCAA office, the Fan Fest, the VIP Club, etc. This internship also would include assisting with the Opening Ceremonies and Autograph Session.

The selected applicant will be paid based on hours worked, as commensurate with minimum wage. The selected applicants are welcome to maintain other paid positions, so long as such other positions do not interfere with this internship. Though room and board are not offered as part of the position, the CWS, Inc., staff will work with the selected applicant to find housing if necessary.

CWS Event Internship (4 positions):
Application Period: Open – February 4, 2013 | Deadline – March 1, 2013

These selected applicants are specifically hired to assist just prior to and during the Men's College World Series. Event interns assist with pre-event assembly, as well day-to-day event responsibilities on-site at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha. These are non-paid positions. The dates for this internship begin on Monday, June 10 and runs through the CWS, ending on either Wednesday, June 25 or Thursday, June 26.
