|CWS National Anthem Auditions Open to the Public at TD Ameritrade Park|
Thirty semifinalists will compete for 17 finalist spots to perform the national anthem during the 2014 NCAA Men's College World Series (CWS). The auditions are open to the public.
WHERE: TD Ameritrade Park Omaha. Please use Gate 1 at the corner of 13th and Cuming Streets. In the event of inclement weather, auditions will move to the stadium concourse. Street parking is available near the entrance.
WHEN: Saturday, April 26. News media covering the auditions should arrive promptly at 8:30 a.m. Auditions will move quickly and take only a few minutes for each participant.
WHO: This is the live audition for the semifinalists. A panel of judges chose the 30 vocalists, musicians and musical groups from more than 100 applicants from Nebraska, Iowa, Alabama, California, North Dakota and Tennessee based on recorded a cappella renditions of the national anthem. WHY: Judges will choose 17 finalists to perform during the 2014 NCAA Men's College World Series, which begins Saturday, June 14, and runs through June 24/25.
