Like Kentucky and its derby and Indianapolis and its famous 500 car race, the nation thinks “Omaha” when they hear “College World Series.” Many local contributors help make the Series a first-class event. Teams from across America continue to call their quest for the baseball Championship "Road to Omaha.” Thanks to the commitment and dedication of fans, volunteers, business and civic leaders, the College World Series has become a permanent part of Omaha and this country. Much of this would not be possible without the support of local businesses and individuals who sign on as local contributors. Since 1991 alone, the cost to put on this event has grown from about $187,000 to over $1,000,000. Due to the unique nature of the Series, local contributors receive little recognition for their generosity but thankfully, they continue to show their support. Local Contributors |
