Walnut Creek Lake is a 450-acre park featuring several recreation opportunities. Located southwest of Papillion off of 96th and Hwy 370, Walnut Creek is the perfect location for a quiet night's rest. Park Hours: 6am - 10pm every day
Walnut Creek Lake is a 450-acre park featuring several recreation opportunities.
The lake's hiking/biking trail will ultimately hook on to the Papio Trails network, linking metro Omaha communities through a series of concrete trails. More than 40,000 trees are planted along a linear arboretum surrounding the lake.
Directions from Rosenblatt: I-80 westbound from 13th St. then take Hwy 75 south to the Hwy 370 exit. Then go west on Hwy 370 six miles to 96th St. (Note: 96th St. is the second left past the Papillion Water Tower.) Then go south on 96th one mile to Schram Rd. Then go west about 3/4 mile to Turkey Rd. This will be the park entrance. Approximate travel time: 25 minutes.
