Recognized media outlets covering the College World Series need to obtain press credentials. All credentials request must be submitted on-line at THIS IS ONLY FOR MEDIA OUTLETS THAT WILL COVER THE CWS REGARDLESS WHICH TEAMS ADVANCE TO OMAHA The procedure will allow will again allow the same features from last year – uploading of your photo and requesting a hotel. This will allow for your credential to be pre-made and ready for pick-up starting Friday, June 13, and allows individuals to make hotel reservations. Friday, June 13— 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Everybody must pick up their own credential, no group pick-ups. A photo ID will be required for verification.
This will serve as the main media headquarters for the CWS. Media must be prepared to provide a credit card number to reserve the room. Rates at the Sleep Inn are $89 per night plus tax. FOR MEDIA STAFFING THE MCWS ONLY IF A SPECIFIC TEAM
All media entities observing NCAA championship competition should recognize that any still picture, motion picture, audio, film/videotape/digital capture or drawing (collectively, Representations) may be used only in connection with news/sports coverage within a 72-hour period following the Competition for which credential has been issued (“Competition”) and the Representations portion of each such showing will not exceed three (3) minutes in length; All Internet media entities and new media entities (e.g., companies providing content for mobile and PDAs) observing NCAA championship competition recognize that Representations may be used only in connection with news/sports coverage within a 24-hour period following the Competition, and the Representations portion of each showing will not exceed three (3) minutes in length. Any secondary use of any Representations obtained under use of this credential of the Competition made by the Credential Holder or Credential Entity (including but not limited to use in delayed editorial or non-editorial, advertising, sales promotion or merchandising) is prohibited without prior specific written approval of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. NCAA Blogging Policy A blog description includes in-competition updates on score and time remaining in competition as well as a description of the championship and competition taking place during the given time that the competition is in progress. The NCAA and its designated championship personnel shall be the final authority over whether a credential holder or credential entity is following the NCAA Blogging Policy. The following is the NCAA’s policy for the number of blog posts allowed during the Division I Baseball Championship competition or session (i.e., where more than one contest takes place under the same admission ticket): one blog post every half-inning (includes extra innings). All Credential Holders and Credential Entities are prohibited from providing Representations to any other person or entity in any media form without advance written permission from the NCAA, even though the planned use may be editorial in nature. Such Representations may be publicly displayed only by the Credential Entity and only for editorial purposes. These rights may not be assigned, transferred or otherwise disposed to any person, subsidiary, parent, or any other entity. Any agency wishing to use Representations of NCAA competition in any manner must obtain written permission for such usage from the NCAA. The Credential Holder and Credential Entity agree to indemnify the NCAA, its officers, agents, employees, and each of its member institutions, the officers, agents and employees, of and from all claims, demand and causes of action arising out of anything done or purported to have been done by any media entity its agents or assigns. The Credential Holder and Credential Entity further agrees to release the NCAA and all championship host personnel, including but not limited to persons, and educational institutions involved in management or production of the competition, from any claim or liability arising from failure to provide space for transmitting Representations, or other facilities for the media entities.
