Approximately 2,300 Reserved Seat Tickets are Available for CWS Championship Games

Thursday’s Rainout Could Impact Date Tickets Are Sold at Box Office

(OMAHA, NEB.  June 20, 2008) – Reserved seat ticket sale times for the NCAA Men’s College World Series Finals Game 1 and Game 2 will be announced soon. Reserved seat tickets will not be available until it is known what teams will be playing.  The deciding game could be either Saturday, June 21 or Sunday, June 22. Once the teams are determined, there are four ways for fans to buy tickets for Finals Game 1 and Finals Game 2.

Ticketmaster.com will begin selling tickets 30 minutes after the last deciding game. Tickets may also be purchased at Ticketmaster retail locations and charge by phone at (402) 422-1212 during regular business hours. Tickets may also be purchased at the Rosenblatt Stadium box office.

Approximately 1,000 tickets will be available through Ticketmaster, according to Herb E. Hames, ticket chairman of College World Series of Omaha, Inc. Tickets purchased on the phone or on the Internet through Ticketmaster will be available for pick-up at Rosenblatt’s box office Will Call window on game day. A list of Ticketmaster outlets is available on the College World Series of Omaha Inc. Web site at CWSomaha.com.

Additionally 1,300 reserved seat tickets for the Monday, June 23 and Tuesday, June 24 finals games will go on sale at the Rosenblatt Stadium box office. The rainout on Thursday could possibly impact the date the finals tickets are sold at the box office. If it is determined on Saturday that Georgia and Fresno State will be playing in the finals games, there will be no games on Sunday. The box office will open at noon on Sunday to sell tickets for Finals Game 1 and 2.  If there are any games played on Sunday as a result of Saturday’s games, then tickets for Finals Games 1 and 2 will go on sale Monday at noon. The box office will open at noon both Monday and Tuesday to handle Will Call pickups and the sale of team tickets that are returned.

General admission tickets can be upgraded to reserved seat tickets at Rosenblatt Stadium’s box office on either Sunday or Monday for Finals Games 1 and 2, with a limit of four tickets upgraded per person. General admission tickets can be upgraded to reserved seat tickets by paying the $16 difference in price between the general admission ticket valued at $10 and the reserved seat ticket valued at $26.

“If a third Finals Game is played on Wednesday, June 25, tickets will go on sale through selected Ticketmaster outlets 30 minutes following Finals Game 2 on Tuesday, June 24. Finals Game 3 tickets will also be sold at the Rosenblatt Stadium box office and Ticketmaster outlets on Wednesday beginning at noon,” Hames said.

Finals Game tickets are $26 for reserved seats and $32 for box seats with a four ticket limit per person. Anyone 24 months or older must have a ticket. Handicapped seating will be sold at noon at Rosenblatt Stadium’s Will Call window while supplies last. Any tickets purchased at the Rosenblatt Stadium box office will be cash or check only.

“We would encourage fans to check at the Rosenblatt Stadium box office for any late team turn-backs during the Finals,” Hames added. For the most current information, visit CWSOmaha.com.
