Reserved Seat Tickets Available at Rosenblatt, Ticketmaster For CWS Saturday Games

(OMAHA, NEB.  June 19, 2008) – If College World Series games 11 and 12 on Friday determine any games are necessary on Saturday, there will be approximately 2,300 tickets available for sale for each game, according to Herb E. Hames, ticket chairman of College World Series of Omaha, Inc.  (Update as of 6/20:  because of the rainout on Thursday, this information is no longer valid.)

“Approximately 1,000 reserved tickets for each necessary game will be available to purchase through Ticketmaster online or through selected Ticketmaster outlets one hour after the end of Friday’s 6 p.m. game,” Hames said. “That way, fans won’t have to wait until Saturday to buy their tickets at the Rosenblatt Stadium box office.”

In addition, approximately 1,300 reserved seat tickets will be available at the Rosenblatt Stadium box office on Saturday for any games that are played that day, Hames said. The Rosenblatt Stadium box office will open at 10 a.m. if games at both 1 and 6 p.m. are required. If only one game at 6 p.m. is played, the Rosenblatt Stadium box office will open at noon. No tickets will be sold at Rosenblatt Stadium Friday night.

Fans using Ticketmaster may order tickets online at www.ticketmaster.com, or purchase them at selected Midwest Ticketmaster outlets that are open.  Tickets purchased on the Internet through Ticketmaster will be available to pick up Saturday at Rosenblatt’s Will Call window, which will open the same time as the box office.

Reserved seat tickets for Saturday’s game cost $19 each and buyers will be limited to a maximum of six tickets per person. Anyone 24 months or older must have a ticket. Handicapped seating will be sold at the stadium’s Will Call window based on availability.  Cash or check only.

Season ticket holders are reminded that even though they have tickets for both possible games, if only one game is played, it will be played at 6 p.m. and the game 14 ticket will be need. Game 13 tickets will not be honored at the 6 p.m. game. If both games are played, the game 13 ticket is needed for 1 p.m. and the game 14 ticket is needed for 6 p.m.

Finals Game Tickets
Reserved seat tickets through Ticketmaster for the NCAA Men’s College World Series Finals Game 1 and Game 2 will not be available until it is known what teams will be playing.  The deciding game could be either Friday, June 20 or Saturday, June 21. Once the teams are determined, there are four ways for fans to buy tickets for Finals Game 1 and Finals Game 2.

Ticketmaster.com will begin selling tickets one hour after the last deciding game on either June 20 or June 21. Approximately 1,000 tickets will be available through Ticketmaster, Hames said. Individuals may charge tickets by phone at (402) 422-1212, or use Ticketmaster online at Ticketmaster.com. Tickets purchased on the phone or on the Internet through Ticketmaster will be available for pick-up at Rosenblatt’s box office Will Call window on game day. A list of Ticketmaster outlets is available on the College World Series of Omaha Inc. Web site at CWSomaha.com.

Approximately 1,300 reserved seat tickets for the Monday, June 23 and Tuesday, June 24 finals games will go on sale at noon on Sunday, June 22 at Rosenblatt Stadium box office. The box office will open at noon both Monday and Tuesday to handle Will Call pickups and the sale of team tickets that are returned.

“If a third Finals Game is played on Wednesday, June 25, tickets will go on sale through selected Ticketmaster outlets one hour following Finals Game 2 on Tuesday, June 24. Finals Game 3 tickets will also be sold at the Rosenblatt Stadium box office and Ticketmaster outlets on Wednesday beginning at noon,” Hames said.

Finals Game tickets are $26 for reserve seats and $32 for box seats with a four ticket limit per person. Anyone 24 months or older must have a ticket. Handicapped seating will be sold at noon at Rosenblatt Stadium’s Will Call window while supplies last. Any tickets purchased at the Rosenblatt Stadium box office will be cash or check only.

General admission tickets can be upgraded to reserved seat tickets at Rosenblatt Stadium’s box office on Friday for Finals Games 1 and 2, with a limit of four tickets upgraded per person. General admission tickets can be upgraded to reserved seat tickets by paying the $16 difference in price between the general admission ticket valued at $10 and the reserved seat ticket valued at $26.

We would encourage fans to check at the Rosenblatt Stadium box office for any late team turn-backs during the Finals,” Hames added. For the most current information, visit CWSOmaha.com.
